Firms compete to design the new GSB complex

The Graduate School of Business is evaluating the work of six internationally distinguished architectural firms, which are competing to design its new, state-of-the-art facility.

Currently, the Graduate School of Business is short of space and has expanded to four different buildings on both sides of the Midway Plaisance.

The new complex, which will replace the Woodward Court residence hall at 58th Street and Woodlawn Avenue, will accommodate both offices and much-needed classroom space.

Construction is expected to begin in two years, when the new residence halls to be built near Regenstein Library become operational.
