    Trustees nominating new Chair

When Howard Krane, who has been Chairman of the University’s Board of Trustees since 1992, announced last June that this would be his last year as Chair, the board began a selection process to nominate his successor.

Krane announced to the board earlier this month that the Trustee Nominating Committee would nominate Edgar Jannotta at the Annual Meeting this June. Jannotta is senior director of William Blair & Company, L.L.C. He was elected a Trustee in 1984 and became Chair of the Investment Committee in 1985. He served as Vice Chair of the Board, and thus also as an ex officio member of the Executive Committee, from 1986 to 1996, when the bylaws were changed and the Vice Chair position was eliminated.

Jannotta has continued to serve as an Executive Committee member since 1996.
