Alumna returns
Former U.S. Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun came to campus Tuesday, Jan. 12, to discuss her current position as a consultant with the U.S. Department of Education. Moseley-Braun reported that the department is implementing a $22 billion plan to modernize 5,000 schools across the country over the next two years. The money will be used for school libraries, repairs and new school construction. Moseley-Braun, who lost her Senate seat to Peter Fitzgerald last November, spoke at the Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies.
