    Coming to Campus

Sen. Carol Moseley-Braun is scheduled to speak Tuesday, Jan. 12, at the Irving B. Harris Graduate School of Public Policy Studies, 1155 E. 60th St.

Moseley-Braun will speak in the school’s lecture hall between 12:30 and 1:30 p.m.

Her visit will also include participation in a Policy Analysis and Political Choice course as a guest lecturer.

Francis Cardinal George, Archbishop of Chicago, will give the keynote address at The Catholic Faith and the Secular Academy, a symposium being co-sponsored by the Catholic Common Ground Initiative and the Lumen Christi Institute at the University. The cardinal’s address will take place Saturday, Jan. 9, in the Divinity School on the Chicago campus.

The symposium aims to see how faith, and the Catholic articulation of Christian faith in particular, changes one’s orientation in the secular academy.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. with the keynote address scheduled for 3 p.m.
