Folkman fills lecture hall

Judah Folkman, M.D., director of the surgical research laboratory at Boston Children's Hospital and Andros professor of pediatric surgery at Harvard Medical School, delivered the sixth annual George and Marie Andros Lecture to an overflow crowd on Friday, Oct. 16. The developer of a new approach to cancer therapy, targeting the blood vessels that supply tumors rather than the cancer cells themselves, Folkman presented eagerly awaited details from the latest experimental studies of antiangiogenesis.
