ChicaGO READ! seeks new books

ChicaGO READ! is seeking donations of new books for local school children.

Now in its second year, ChicaGO READ! is a project of the 1998 Reunion classes, the University of Chicago Club of Metropolitan Chicago and the Alumni Association to promote literacy and learning among Chicago children in kindergarten through sixth grade. Donated new books will be distributed to Woodlawn Community School, Aerial School, Jackie Robinson School, the North Kenwood/Oakland Charter School and the Hug-A-Book literacy program.

Books can be dropped off at the Reunion registration tent on the Main Quadrangle during Reunion Weekend (June 5-7). Books may also be sent to ChicaGO READ!, The University of Chicago Alumni Association, 1313 E. 60th St., Chicago, IL 60637.
