    COMING TO CAMPUS

    MONDAY, MAY 4 Vaclav Klaus 4 p.m., Mandel Hall

    Vaclav Klaus, chairman of the Civic Democratic Party and former Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, will present the 1998 George J. Stigler Memorial Lecture, "The Preaching of George Stigler, Communism and Its Transformation," at 4 p.m. Monday, May 4, in Mandel Hall. Admission is free but by ticket only. Tickets for students are available at: GSB concierge desk in Rosenwald Hall; Pick 406; Law School reception desk; Harris School of Public Policy, Room 130; and Gleacher Center transaction desk. Other ticket requests may be directed to 702-7572. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.

    MONDAY, MAY 4 Cuauhtemoc Cardenas 6 p.m., Rockefeller Chapel

    Cuauhtemoc Cardenas, Governor of the Federal District of Mexico City, will give the address "Mexico in the 21st Century: Perspectives for the Future," at 6 p.m. Monday, May 4, in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. The doors to the chapel will close at 5:45 p.m. Cardenas is a leading figure of the Revolutionary Democratic Party (PRD), Mexico's principal center-left party. See story on page 5.
