Banking made easy

The Payroll Department is making banking easier for University faculty and staff members with its Direct Deposit program and an upcoming Bank Fair on Wednesday, April 29, and Thursday, April 30.

A free service, Direct Deposit automatically deposits an employee's payroll check into a bank account and makes the funds immediately accessible. To enroll in the Direct Deposit program, simply fill out an enrollment form; Direct Deposit will take effect within two pay periods.

To help faculty and staff members decide where to deposit their paychecks, a Bank Fair will be held in Reynolds Club from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, and from noon to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 30. Representatives from Citibank, Cole Taylor, First Chicago, Hyde Park Bank and University National Bank will be available to set up new accounts and answer questions.
