Applicants sought for ombudsperson

Applications are being accepted from registered graduate and undergraduate students for the position of Student Ombudsperson for the 1998-99 academic year. The term of office will be from summer quarter 1998 through spring quarter 1999.

The ombudsperson is a part-time, salaried official of the University, appointed by the president to investigate students' complaints without superseding the regular remedial processes of the University.

Prospective candidates must submit a letter of application accompanied by at least three letters of recommendation.
