Warm up to winter with Kuvia fun

Kuviasungnerk, the University's annual celebration of winter, storms onto campus from Monday, Jan. 19, through Friday, Jan. 23.

Annual events include snow football, evening ice skating on the Midway, a Polar Bear run in boxer shorts, an outdoor picnic and the Kuvia Bash. Weekday mornings will also feature kangeiko (calisthenics) in the Henry Crown Field House -- except for Thursday, Jan. 22, when the early-morning workout will begin with a jog from Woodward Court to the Point for kangeiko on the lakeshore and a salute to the sun.

This year's Kuvia Bash will be held from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, in Reynolds Club. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to dance the night away in Hutchinson Commons and show off their singing talents in a karaoke contest in the 2nd floor coffee shop. Kuvia Bash is free; admission requires a UCID.

Times and dates for the other events were still being set as of press time; a complete schedule of activities will be posted in Reynolds Club. For more information, call 702-9554.
