    Bursar's, Comptroller's offices announce holiday hours

    The Comptroller's Office and the Bursar's Office will reduce operations during the holidays.

    Comptroller's Office

    The Comptroller's Office will reduce operations from Friday, Dec. 26, through Friday, Jan. 2.

    The Payroll Department will follow its normal schedule except on Friday, Dec. 26, when the department will be closed all day, and Wednesday, Dec. 31, when the department will close at 1 p.m. Independent contractor payments and monthly salary advances will not be processed during the holiday period. A detailed biweekly payroll closing schedule will be provided to departments within the next two weeks. Monthly payroll checks will be distributed to departments by the Bursar's Office on Wednesday, Dec. 31, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

    The Accounts Payable Department will be closed during the entire holiday period. All nonsalary disbursements received in the Accounts Payable office prior to 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, will be available for distribution at the Bursar's Office no later than Tuesday, Dec. 23. Any nonsalary disbursement document (i.e. direct payment vouchers, independent contractor payment requests, petty cash reimbursements, travel advances or reimbursements, and wire transfers) received in the Comptroller's Office after the 4 p.m. Dec. 15 deadline will not be available for disbursement until after the holiday period.

    Bursar's Office

    The Bursar's Office will reduce operations from Wednesday, Dec. 24, through Thursday, Jan. 1.

    During that week, the office will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 24 and 25, and will be available for processing departmental deposits only from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 26, Monday, Dec. 29, and Tuesday, Dec. 30. On Wednesday, Dec. 31, the office will be open from 8:30 to 11 a.m. to process departmental deposits, and until 1 p.m. to distribute payroll and accounts payable checks. Cashiers will not provide any other services (i.e. check cashing, student payment processing or sales of bus passes and stamps) until regular operations resume on Friday, Jan. 2.

    The overnight depository located outside the office will be available to departments and students that wish to drop off any tuition payments during the holiday period. The Thillen's check-cashing truck will be available to cash biweekly payroll checks in the parking lot at 55th and Ellis from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26.

    Check distribution will be closed during this period. Any checks not picked up by 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 23, may be picked up on Wednesday, Dec. 31, between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.

    The Student Loan Center and the Tuition and Billing section will be completely closed until Jan. 2. From Dec. 24 to Jan. 2, tuition and fees payments may be placed in the overnight depository or sent to the bank lock-box address on the billing statement.

    The Bursar's Office will resume regular operations and hours on Friday, Jan. 2.
