    Halloween concert promises wild ride

The University Symphony Orchestra plans to take its audience on a wild ride this year with its annual Halloween Concert on Saturday, Oct. 25. The concert will take place in Mandel Hall with performances at 7 and 9 p.m.

Titled "Rides of Terror," the concert will be performed by a costumed ensemble and accompanied by storytelling and dramatic special effects. Audience members are encouraged to join in the fun by coming in costume as well. The program of spooky music will feature the Hexenritt (Witches' Ride) from Humperdinck's Hansel und Gretel, Tchaikovsky's tone poem The Voyevode, Saint-Saens' Phaeton and Liszt's Mazeppa.

Donations requested at the door are $5, $3 for students and $2 for children under 12. For more information, call 702-8069.
