The real Maloney
The Chronicle committed a personal foul in the Oct. 9 issue when we identified the above left photo as Head Coach Dick Maloney, the winningest football coach in the University's modern-era history. Maloney is the winningest coach; unfortunately, the photo is of Assistant Coach Pete Alvanos. The real Dick Maloney is pictured above right. See both coaches in action next at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Maroons' homecoming game against Carnegie-Mellon at Stagg Field.
