    Coming to Campus

    TODAY Toni Morrison 4 p.m. Rockefeller Chapel Toni Morrison, the Robert F. Goheen Professor in the Council of the Humanities at Princeton and a Nobel laureate and winner of the Pulitzer Prize, will present a lecture at 4 p.m. today, May 29, in Rockefeller Memorial Chapel. Morrison, who has been named a Visiting University Scholar, will come to Chicago for six weeks a year for three years, beginning in 1998. Her participation in seminars and conferences will contribute towards her new research project on the reverberations on African-American literary culture in an international context. She will also give lectures both on campus and downtown.

    TOMORROW Harold Varmus 4 p.m. Biological Sciences Learning Center

    Harold Varmus, a Nobel Prize-winning cancer research specialist and Director of the National Institutes of Health, will give the lecture "Genes, Mice and Cancer," on Friday, May 30. See story on page 2.
