    Library notices available via e-mail

University Library users can now request that library notices -- such as overdue, recall, fine and hold notices -- be sent via e-mail instead of through conventional mail.

"This is something that many of our users have long wanted," said Jim Vaughan, Access Services Librarian. "We're happy that Horizon, our library system, enables us to offer this service. E-mail notices are faster and more reliable than conventional mail and are friendlier to the environment."

To request the service, write email-notices@lib.uchicago.edu, or notify a circulation supervisor in any of the University libraries.
