Citibank campus branch now open for business

Banking in Hyde Park has become more convenient for the University community with the opening of a Citibank branch on campus. The branch is located in the Surgery Brain Research Pavilion, with a separate entrance, at 5812 S. Ellis.

Citibank will officially open its doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 6.

"We are very pleased to welcome Citibank to our campus as part of a program to provide banking services to our entire community," said William Hogan, University Comptroller.

The branch provides a range of services, including personal accounts and computer banking, Citicard and 24-hour Citiphone Banking Centers, investment services and mortgages.

Branch manager Risa Davis promises a strong commitment to the Hyde Park-Kenwood area. "We must support our neighborhoods and their development through programs designed to enhance financial growth and community stability," Davis said.

Citibank FSB in Illinois comprises 50 Chicago-area branches with more than $3.5 billion in assets. Worldwide, Citibank has 1,200 branches in 42 countries, making it the second-largest consumer financial service company, with $250 billion in assets and more than 45 million customers.
