Applications being accepted for ombudsperson position for 1997-98

Applications are being accepted for the position of Student Ombudsperson for the 1997-98 academic year. The position is open to registered graduate and undergraduate degree-seeking students. The term of office will be from summer quarter 1997 through spring quarter 1998.

The ombudsperson is a part-time, salaried official of the University and is appointed by the president to investigate students' complaints without superseding the regular remedial processes of the University.

Prospective candidates must submit a letter of application accompanied by at least three letters of recommendation.
