    $1,000 for best book collection

A passion for collecting books will pay off for the winners of the T. Kimball Brooker Prize for undergraduate book collecting. A $1,000 prize will be awarded to a fourth-year College student, and a $500 prize will be awarded to a second-year student in the College.

In evaluating entries, primary consideration will be given to the discrimination and judgment shown by the collector in shaping the collection around his or her interests. Monetary value and number of books are not critical in determining a winning collection.

An information session will be held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 25, in the Department of Special Collections of Regenstein Library.

Brooker Prize applications are available in Regenstein 180, Crerar 143 and at the circulation desk of Harper Memorial Library. The deadline is Friday, April 4.
