With password, students can view grades on-line

Certain services also available to faculty members Registered students can now view their grades and other key personal information on-line after submitting a password to the Registrar's Office.

University faculty members can view class rosters, request enrollment statistics and other information with a Registrar's Office account number. This account number also provides access to a range of on-line information that can assist in scheduling classes.

The new Registrar's Office on-line system provides students and faculty members with easy access to information that in the past sometimes took days to obtain.

"Until now, students who wished to see their transcripts and grades had to go to the Registrar's Office to view them on an office computer or request that a copy be mailed to their home address," said Maxine Sullivan, University Registrar and Director of Student Information.

"With the new system, any students who are currently registered or who were registered in the past quarter can enter their password on our Web site and view their transcripts."

To use the on-line system, students must establish a Student Access account in person at the Registrar's Office, Administration 103. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Faculty members who wish to access the system must contact the Registrar's Office at 702-7876, or apply in person to obtain an account.

The on-line system is not inter-active, Sullivan noted. The on-line files are images of documents from the Registrar's Office, and none of the on-line files can be changed, altered or updated by a viewer.

The system has been developed gradually over the past few years, with an increasing number of students using passwords to see their files. Now that the system is finished, it is available to all students as well as all faculty members.
