Last chance! Contribute now to win raffle prizes

Free airfare, tickets to a Chicago Bulls game, health club memberships, theater tickets and numerous other raffle prizes will go to some lucky contributors to "Giving to Help," the University's Campaign for the United Way and Other Charities.

All employees who contribute by Friday, Jan. 17, will have the chance to win two round-trip coach tickets on United Airlines for any destination (limited to $1,000 total). Other raffle prizes include two tickets to a Chicago Bulls home game in February, memberships in The Regents Club health club, tickets for upcoming music and theater performances at the University, autographed sports memorabilia, and gift certificates for many area restaurants and other merchants, including three $100 gift certificates for the Campus Computer Stores.

Through "Giving to Help," members of the faculty and staff may support any established charity in the United States. Over 160 independent organizations, including various programs within the University, benefited from last year's campaign.

In 1995-96, the University community contributed over $114,000 to the United Way and over $128,000 to other charities.

To contribute to "Giving to Help," simply fill out and return either the yellow or the blue card included in the campaign information sent to all employees. Gifts may be made to the United Way or to a specific charity. Options include payroll deduction and making a cash contribution.

Employees who need a pledge card can get one by contacting Human Resources at 702-9600.
