    Poet Brooks on campus May 5

    (photo) Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Gwendolyn Brooks will present and discuss her work at "We Speak -- Diversity and Identity," an event co-sponsored by the Organization of Black Students and Sistafriends to be held from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, May 5, in Hutchinson Commons. The event is free and open to all members of the University community.

    From 8 to 9 p.m., members of various student groups will read their original poetry. Organizations to be represented include OBS, Sistafriends, the Hispanic Association for Cultural Expression and Recognition, the South Asian Students Association, the Womyn's Union and the Muslim Students Association.

    From 9 to 10 p.m., Brooks will read from her work. An informal discussion with students will follow.
