Kudos from UAA for basketball players, coaches

Three University men's basketball players have been named to the 1996 All-University Athletic Association Team, and coaches Pat Cunningham and Mike McGrath have been named Coaching Staff of the Year.

College second-year guard Aaron Horne, the Maroons' leading scorer this past season, was named to the All-UAA first team. Guard Rusty Loyd, a second-year student, was chosen for the second team, and first-year forward Craig Kelleher made the team as an honorable-mention pick.

Head Coach Cunningham and Assistant Coach McGrath were named Coaching Staff of the Year after guiding the Maroons to a second-place finish with an 11-3 record in UAA play. The UAA's preseason coaches' poll had predicted that Chicago would end the season tied for last place.
