    Party, Bo Diddley concert highlight Kuviasungnerk

    The University's annual celebration of winter, Kuviasungnerk, will be held from Tuesday, Jan. 16, through Saturday, Jan. 20. The festival will include a party and a concert by legendary rocker Bo Diddley.

    The festivities will begin with ice skating at the downtown State Street rink from 8 to 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16. Buses will depart from Regenstein Library every 30 minutes beginning at 7:30 p.m. Other events include an ice cream study break at 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, in Hutchinson Commons; a three-day scavenger hunt; and other activities to be announced.

    The annual Kuvia Bash party will be held for the first time this year in the Reynolds Club, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19. The party, which will feature rock bands, a karaoke bar and refreshments, is free and open to students, faculty and staff with UCID. Beer will be available to those 21 and over.

    A concert by Bo Diddley, sponsored by the Major Activities Board, is planned for Saturday, Jan. 20. For ticket information, call 702-9554.
