Young Investigator Awards program accepting applications

Junior faculty members seeking support to launch or continue new and promising areas of cancer research are invited to submit applications to the Young Investigator Awards program of the Cancer Research Foundation, a Chicago not-for-profit organization.

The mission of the Cancer Research Foundation is to help young investigators pursue promising areas of research to find ultimate cures for cancer. The foundation honors only the most outstanding scientists. The peer-reviewed Young Investigators program provides one-year grants of up to $40,000 to cancer researchers at Chicago medical schools. This year's awards will be exclusively offered to University of Chicago faculty members.

For specific information about nominations, contact Paul Miller, BSD Office of Research Services, at 702-3204. The application deadline is Thursday, Jan. 18. Awards will be announced in March.
