    Cityfront Forums to begin with lecture by Csikszentmihalyi

    "The Psychology of Enjoyment," presented by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, will open the Cityfront Forum series of free, quarterly lectures at the University's Downtown Center at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30.

    Csikszentmihalyi, Professor in Psychology and Education, will discuss his research on the state of creative satisfaction known as "flow." His work on the topic has spanned 30 years and has influenced organizations as diverse as Xerox, the Smithsonian Institution and the 1993 Super Bowl-champion Dallas Cowboys. He is the author of Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience and the soon-to-be-published Creativity.

    The second lecture in the series, on Feb. 29, 1996, will be presented by John Mearsheimer, Professor in Political Science and an expert on international politics.

    Cityfront Forum lectures will take place one Thursday each quarter at 5:30 p.m. in the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation Auditorium of the Downtown Center, 450 N. Cityfront Plaza Dr. (Parking at 200 and 201 E. Illinois St. is $5 with a validated ticket.) The lectures are free and open to the public; no reservations are required.
