    Author McQuade to be bookstore guest

    Molly McQuade (A.B.'81), author of An Unsentimental Education: Writers and Chicago -- a collection of interviews with contemporary writers who have studied or taught at Chicago or who otherwise have ties to the University -- will read from and sign copies of her book at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, at 57th Street Books, 1301 E. 57th St.

    In a series of interviews presented as first-person essays, 21 writers reflect on their Chicago experiences and on ideas about education in general. The writers include Saul Bellow, Robert Coover, Leon Forest, Philip Roth, Susan Sontag, Kurt Vonnegut and Marguerite Young.
