Music auditions through Oct. 2

Auditions for all of the Music Department's extracurricular performance organizations are being held through Monday, Oct. 2, including instrumental auditions for the University's Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, New Music Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble and vocal auditions for the University Chorus, the Motet Choir and the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel Choir.

The Music Department's performance groups present more than 90 concerts each year, encompassing a wide range of musical repertoire and concert formats. Professional coaching and master classes enhance the performance program.

Membership in all University performance organizations is open to students, faculty and staff of the University as well as to community members and other interested musicians. In the case of sections or ensembles with limited seating, preference will be given to qualified musicians who are University students.

Appointments to audition may be made in person at the main office of the Music Department, Goodspeed 309, or by calling 702-8674 to schedule an instrumental audition, or 702-6063 to schedule a vocal audition.
