Obituary: Axel Schoepflin

Axel Schoepflin, a student in the College, died June 12 in La Jolla, Calif.

Schoepflin had recently completed his first year in the College. His primary interest was in philosophy.

"Axel was hailed by his teachers as an excellent student," said Katie Nash, Dean of Students in the College. "His untimely death is a tragic loss. He will be missed."

He is survived by his parents, Hans and Marilies Schoepflin of La Jolla, and three sisters, Isabel and Lisl Schoepflin and Patricia Callahan.
