Caption: Seventh Annual Chicago Boulevard Lakefront Tour coming to campus

Cyclists zoom down the Midway during the Monsters of the Midway Criterium Bicycle Race on Mother's Day. The race was the first of two major cycling events to come to the University this spring. The second event, the Seventh Annual Chicago Boulevard Lakefront Tour, will begin and end on the Midway Plaisance on Father's Day, Sunday, June 18. Cyclists will travel a 35-mile route along the "emerald necklace," Chicago planner Daniel Burnham's string of green parks connected by wide boulevards. Festivities on the Midway afterward will include brunch, music by WXRT radio station, and the Boulevard Lakefront Tour Bike Expo, featuring exhibits by tour sponsors, local bike retailers and social and environmental organizations.
