    Suspect arrested and charged in 1994 stabbing

    A suspect has been arrested and charged in the stabbing of a Hyde Park man last summer.

    Michael Richland, 37, of 7100 S. Stewart Ave., was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and attempted armed robbery on Jan. 12 in connection with the stabbing of Robert Picken, an 84-year-old board member of the South East Chicago Commission, on Aug. 4. According to Robert Richards, Law Enforcement Coordinator at the SECC, Picken identified Richland in a lineup following Richland's arrest by 6th District police.
