Human Resources Management (w/photo) Robert Riesman has been appointed Deputy Director of Human Resources Management. Riesman joined the HRM staff in 1988 and has been Director of Benefits since 1991. Under Riesman's direction, the Benefits Office has added the Staff and Faculty Assistance Program, the child care referral program, the First Commonwealth dental plan and TIAA's Long Term Care Insurance plan. He received his B.A. from Harvard in 1977 and his A.M. from the University's School of Social Service Administration in 1988.

Physical Education & Athletics John O'Connor has been named Head Men's Soccer Coach. O'Connor comes to Chicago from Dartmouth, where he had served as assistant men's soccer coach since 1990. During that time, Dartmouth's men's soccer team won two Ivy League titles and reached the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals twice. O'Connor received his B.A. in 1984 and his M.A. in 1986 from the University of Maine.
