    Caption: Court wins Best Play

Court Theatre won the Best Play award at the 26th annual Joseph Jefferson Awards for its autumn 1993 production of Pierre Marivaux's The Triumph of Love. The play marked the Chicago directorial debut of Charles Newell, now Artistic Director at Court Theatre, and starred Kate Collins as Princess Leonide, shown here in a scene with Bruce Orendorf as Agis. Collins is also starring in Court's current production, August Strindberg's Miss Julie, which has been playing to rave reviews.
