    Chance to win prizes for contributors to annual charity campaign Grand prize: Free airfare for two on Kiwi Airlines

    Contributors to the University's Campaign for the United Way/Crusade of Mercy and Other Charities have a chance to win free airfare, theater tickets, gift certificates and many other prizes. Faculty and staff members who contribute to the campaign will automatically be eligible to win a raffle prize.

    Many Chicago-area businesses, including several in Hyde Park, have donated prizes for the raffle, which will be held in January. The raffle prizes are:

    _ GRAND PRIZE -- Two round-trip tickets to Tampa, Orlando or New York City, courtesy of Kiwi Airlines in conjunction with Midway Travel Service.

    _ A weekend in the V.I.P. Suite at Regents Park in Hyde Park (based upon availability), donated by Regents Park by The Clinton Company.

    _ Two 3-month club memberships and one 1-month club membership in The Regents Club in Hyde Park, a health club with an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, Nautilus equipment, aerobics and more, donated by Regents Park by The Clinton Company.

    _ One deli tray worth up to $25 from Market in the Park, donated by Regents Park by The Clinton Company.

    _ A 1994 Media Guide autographed by Erik Kramer of the Chicago Bears, donated by the Chicago Bears.

    _ A pennant autographed by John Paxson of the Chicago Bulls, donated by the Chicago Bulls.

    _ A White Sox baseball autographed by Craig Grebeck, donated by the Chicago White Sox.

    _ A White Sox baseball autographed by Frank Thomas, donated by the Chicago White Sox.

    _ A 1991 National Hockey League All-Star Weekend program autographed by Chris Chelios of the Chicago Blackhawks, donated by the Chicago Blackhawks.

    _ One $40 gift certificate toward a dinner for two at Hyde Park's Piccolo Mondo Cafe.

    _ Talking From 9 to 5 by Deborah Tannen, donated by Kroch's & Brentano's in Hyde Park.

    _ All's Fair by Mary Matalin and James Carville, donated by Kroch's & Brentano's.

    _ Four $25 grocery certificates for Mr. G's Finer Foods, donated by Bill Gerstein of Mr. G's, located in Hyde Park.

    _ The New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary, donated by the Seminary Co-op Bookstore.

    _ One pair of tickets to a preview performance at Steppenwolf Theatre this season (through July 8).

    _ One pair of tickets to a performance of Sleuth at Court Theatre (Jan. 6-Feb. 12), donated by Court Theatre.

    _ Two subscriptions to the four-concert Contemporary Chamber Players Series (opening Sunday, April 2) in Mandel Hall, donated by the Department of Music.

    _ Five $50 gift certificates, donated by the University Bookstore.

    _ Two gift certificates toward dinner at the Medici on 57th, located in Hyde Park.

    _ Four $25 gift certificates toward any store or catering purchase at Spoonful Inc. in Hyde Park.

    _ Two gift certificates for a free haircut/style at Hair PHD in Hyde Park.

    _ One gift certificate for a free haircut/style at Hyde Park's 57th Street Hair Salon.

    _ One free Athletic Pass for the 1995-96 academic year, donated by Physical Education & Athletics.

    _ Complimentary pastry and coffee for two at Starbucks in Hyde Park.

    _ One $10 gift certificate for lunch, Monday through Thursday, at the Nile Restaurant in Hyde Park.

    _ Three $100 gift certificates, donated by Campus Computer Stores.

    _ One Brita water-filtering pitcher, donated by Freehling Pot & Pan Company in Hyde Park.

    _ One $35 gift certificate for Art Miller's Beach Florist in Hyde Park.

    To contribute to the University's United Way/Crusade of Mercy and Other Charities Campaign, simply fill out and return either the yellow or the blue card included in the campaign information sent to all employees. Gifts may be made to the United Way/Crusade of Mercy or to a specific charity. Options include payroll deduction and making a cash contribution. Employees who have not received a pledge card should call Human Resources at 702-9600.
