Political correctness and 'Merchant of Venice'

David Bevington, the Phyllis Fay Horton Professor in the Humanities, will present the next Wirszup Lecture at Woodward Court at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Bevington will speak on political correctness and "The Merchant of Venice." A reception will follow. The Wirszup Lecture, named in honor of Izaac and Pera Wirszup, longtime Masters of Woodward Court, is free and open to the public.
