Cityfront Forums to begin Oct. 4

Cityfront Forums, a new weekly discussion series at the Downtown Center, will begin Tuesday, Oct. 4, with a noontime forum featuring Richard Posner, Chief Judge of the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and Senior Lecturer in the Law School.

Posner's topic, "The Right to Death: Assisted Suicide," will address the objections to assisted suicide and discuss the impact of legalized assisted suicides on the suicide rate. The series continues Tuesday, Oct. 11, with a discussion titled "The First Microsecond of the Universe," led by Edward "Rocky" Kolb, Professor in Astronomy & Astrophysics. Upcoming forums will feature University faculty members Martin Marty, Christine Cassel, Elizabeth Alexander, Marvin Zonis.

All of the forums, which continue through Nov. 9, will be held at noon at the Downtown Center, 450 N. Cityfront Plaza. The fee is $15, which includes a box lunch. To register or for more information, call 702-8374.
