    Suspect charged in Wyler assault

Police have charged a suspect with aggravated criminal sexual assault for the attack on a 7-year-old female patient at Wyler Children's Hospital on Aug. 10.

The suspect was identified as James Spratt, 20 years old, of the 6400 block of King Drive. He was picked out of a lineup by the victim and Wyler personnel.

"We are tremendously relieved that this suspect has been apprehended," said Susan Phillips, Hospitals Vice President for Government & Public Affairs. "Our heartfelt thanks go out to the men and women of the Chicago Police Department who worked night and day to find the attacker, to our own police officers and Wyler staff who provided Chicago police with an important lead, and to the brave little girl who identified the attacker.

"We all wish this deplorable incident had never taken place, and we will do everything possible to assist in the swift and full prosecution of this case."
