    Rockefeller CD available

"Rockefeller Memorial Chapel: Musical Offerings Volume 1," the chapel's first compact-disc recording to include choral, organ and carillon music, has been released.

Conceived, recorded and produced by chapel organist Wolfgang Ruebsam, the CD features performances by Ruebsam, University carillonneur Wylie Crawford and, under the direction of Bruce Tammen, the Rockefeller Memorial Chapel Choir. The 76-minute compact disc includes Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor," choruses from Handel's "Messiah" and selections by Chesnokov, Cimarosa, Lefevere, Palestrina and Vierne.

The CD is available for $15; mail orders are available for an additional $2 for shipping and handling. All proceeds will support the chapel's music program and restoration of its E.M. Skinner organ and Laura Spelman Rockefeller carillon, two of the finest instruments of their kind in the country. For more information, call 702-2100.
