    French ambassador to visit, lecture

    The French ambassador to the United States, Jacques Andreani, will deliver a public address, "French-American Relations: The Dialectics of Crisis," at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 19, in Social Sciences 122.

    Andreani will be on campus for the official signing of an agreement between the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University naming the University's Chicago Group on Modern France (CGMF), one of six French "Centres d'Excellence" in the United States. The CGMF is a multidisciplinary research group that brings together faculty and students from different domains of French studies and facilitates exchanges between the University and French academic institutions.
