    Scavenger hunt: Time to register!

Scavenger Hunt, the annual post-midterm traipse around the region in search of arcane objects and long-lost answers to trivial questions, will be held from Thursday, May 5, through Sunday, May 8.

Teams can register by putting the name of a team, the name of a designated captain and a contact phone number in the Scavenger Hunt mail folder in the basement of Reynolds Club. Anyone with a University affiliation is eligible to participate.

The official Scavenger Hunt list of approximately 350 items will be distributed in Reynolds Club basement at noon Thursday, May 5. Teams will have until noon Sunday, May 8, to bring their collections to Ida Noyes Hall, where points will be totaled and winners named. Cash prizes will be distributed to the 10 teams that finish with the most points.

Over the course of the Scavenger Hunt's eight-year history, items on the list have included a Ferrari, an "L" train, a walrus and a team member dressed in Post-it notes. Each year the list includes one item, such as a snowball from Canada, that requires a road trip.

Also each year, points are awarded to teams whose members contribute to the annual campus-wide blood drive. This year, bloodmobiles will be located in Hutchinson Courtyard and at the corner of University Avenue and 57th Street from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 6.
