President Sonnenschein will join the University chapter of Habitat for Humanity in its second annual 10-kilometer Hike for Humanity on Saturday, May 7. The fundraiser, which will support housing construction for disadvantaged families in the Chicago area, will begin at 10 a.m. at Promontory Point (55th Street and Lake Shore Drive).

Members of the University community are invited to walk, run, bike or skate north along the lake front and then back to the Point, where the event will conclude with a picnic co-sponsored by Habitat for Humanity and the Shoreland Council. A raffle of prizes will be held.

Sponsor sheets will be distributed upon registration; participants who register in advance will be entered in the raffle automatically. Requested registration fees are $10 for adults, $5 for students and $3 for additional family members. To register or for more information, call 702-9554.
