    Hospitals VPs appointed

    Three health-care executives -- Steven Lipstein, Dennis Meulemans and Ira Rosenberg -- have been appointed Vice Presidents at the Hospitals.

    Lipstein joins the Hospitals as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, a position in which he will play a leading role in the construction and development of the Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine. Lipstein previously served as vice president for administration at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

    Meulemans has been appointed Vice President, Financial Planning & Strategy. His responsibilities include overall strategy development and financial planning for the Hospitals and affiliated groups. For the past 10 years, Meulemans directed regional health-care strategic planning and managed-care practices at Ernst & Young.

    Rosenberg has been appointed Vice President for Network Management & Development. He is responsible for managed-care activities and the creation of an integrated network throughout the Chicago area. Rosenberg was previously an executive in network development at Humana Health Care Plans.
