    White Sox tickets on sale through April 29

    Tickets for the Chicago White Sox game on Monday, May 9 -- University of Chicago Night at Comiskey Park -- are on sale through Friday, April 29, at the University Bookstore on campus and in the Downtown Center.

    President Sonnenschein will throw out the first pitch, and the a cappella groups Unaccompanied Women and Heaven Sent will perform the national anthem. University faculty, students and staff are encouraged to wear maroon to the game, which will begin at 7:05 p.m. The White Sox will play the Seattle Mariners.

    All White Sox tickets will be half-price on May 9; U of C seats have been reserved in the lower deck boxes, the lower deck reserved, the upper deck boxes and the bleachers. Blocks of seats will be on sale, with individual tickets ranging from $5 to $9.

    Tickets may be purchased in the fourth-floor business office of the University Bookstore or in the bookstore in the University's Downtown Center, 450 N. Cityfront Plaza; payment may be made by cash, check, Visa or Mastercard or with a University 62 Form. Mail orders will be accepted for a 50-cent handling fee. Bus service will also be available from the University to Comiskey Park. Bus tickets are $4.25 and may be purchased at the locations listed above. For more information, call 702-8729.
