    All-night study space available

To provide an all-night study space during finals week, the C-Shop and Hutchinson Commons will be open continuously from Sunday, March 13, through Thursday morning, March 17. Food will be available for purchase in the C-Shop around-the-clock.

Michael Jones, Assistant Dean for Programs & Development in the College, said the site was chosen for its proximity to Regenstein Library and for the availability of food. The classrooms in Harper that were made available during last quarter's finals proved to be too small, too isolated and too broken up, he said. "I think this is a much better space for the mixture of studying and socializing that's going to go on," Jones said. "And if you're crazy enough to stay up all night long, then you need something to eat."

The all-night study space is sponsored jointly by Student Government and the Office of the Dean of the College. A University Police officer will be on duty. Students traveling to and from Reynolds Club during the all-night study hours will be able to summon the University van service.
