Muriel Beadle

Muriel Beadle, author, civic leader and widow of former University President and Nobel Prize winner George Beadle, died of heart failure Feb. 13 in Pomona, Calif. She was 78.

She is survived by her son from a previous marriage, Redmond James Barnett; a brother, James H. McClure; a niece and four nephews; and six grand-nieces and six grand-nephews. George Beadle died in 1989.

Services will be private.
