    Social Sciences lecture Feb. 9

    Robert Pippin, Professor in the Committee on Social Thought, will be the featured speaker of the winter session of the Social Sciences Dean's Inaugural Lecture Series at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9, in the tea room of the Social Science Research Building.

    Pippin, who is a specialist on German idealism, European philosophy and political philosophy, will present "Hegel, Individualism and the Social Character of Ethical Life."

    The lecture series is organized quarterly by the dean of the Social Sciences Division to give new senior faculty in the division an opportunity to share their research with the University community.
