    Nominations sought for alumni board

Nominations are being solicited for the Alumni Association's Board of Governors.

The board sets policy for the association and advises the University on matters of interest to alumni.

Candidates selected by the nominating committee will be submitted to the Board of Governors at its April meeting.

In reviewing the nominations, the committee will try to ensure that the board is as fully representative of the alumni population as possible by taking into account such factors as geographic location, academic degree and date of graduation, said Jeanne Buiter, Executive Director of the Alumni Association.

The nominating committee is headed by Jack Carlson (A.B.'40). Other members are Richard Bechtolt (Ph.B.'46, A.M.'50), Gwyn Cready (A.B.'83, M.B.A.'86), Linda Neal (A.B.'64, J.D.'67), William Naumann (M.B.A.'75) and Greg Wrobel (A.B.'75, J.D.'78, M.B.A.'79).

Nominations should include a one- or two-paragraph description of the nominee and should outline the nominee's past service to the University.

Nominations, postmarked no later than Feb. 28, should be sent to Jeanne Buiter at the University of Chicago Alumni Association, 5757 S. University Ave., Chicago, Ill. 60637.
