Bike ride with President Sonnenschein

Students, faculty and staff are invited to join Hugo F. Sonnenschein, John Boyer and other members of the community on a bike ride along the lake to the Loop on Sunday, Oct. 24.

Riders will assemble at 7:30 a.m. at Ida Noyes Hall and depart at 8 a.m. After cycling together to the lakefront at 55th Street, riders will travel north to the dock of the Columbia, a ship on the lake at Randolph Street. Refreshments will be served, and cyclists will have a chance to rest and recuperate before returning to Hyde Park in time to join the Chicago Mid-South Hunger Walk at 1:30 p.m. (See story this page.)

Although there is no fee, advance registration is requested. To register, call the Student Activities Office at 702-9554.

The bike ride is supported by the University's Velo Club, Art's Cycle & Hobby Shop on 55th Street and Wheels and Things in Harper Court.
