    Inauguration festivities

    * 10 A.M. ACADEMIC PROCESSION Departs from Bartlett Gymnasium at approximately 10 a.m., proceeds south on University Avenue to 59th Street, then east to Rockefeller Chapel.

    * 10:30 A.M. CONVOCATION Rockefeller Memorial Chapel, by ticket only; no tickets needed for closed-circuit television viewing at Mandel Hall, Max Palevsky Cinema, the Law School Auditorium and Breasted Hall.

    * NOON ACADEMIC RECESSIONAL Exits Rockefeller Chapel at approximately noon, proceeds west on 59th Street to University Avenue, heads north to 58th Street, through the Main Quadrangle to the circle, then north through Cobb Gate, returning to Bartlett Gymnasium.

    * 2 p.m. SYMPOSIA "Liberal Education and the Advancement of Knowledge," Harper 130 "Transplantation: The Second Revolution," Kent 120 "The Evolution of the Physical Universe," Kersten 115

    * 3:30 p.m. SYMPOSIA "Music: Theory and Practice," Goodspeed Recital Hall "Altruism and Egotism," Swift Hall third-floor lecture room

    * 5 P.M. PARTY Ida Noyes Hall; musical entertainment, dancing, refreshments, cartoon festival.

    * 7 p.m. FIREWORKS Over the Midway; accompanied by carillon music.

    * 7:30 p.m. PARTY Ida Noyes Hall; musical entertainment, dancing, refreshments, cartoon festival, karaoke singing.
