The 5710 Mural Project, a collaborative effort among student groups, the LGBTQ Programming Office and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, took shape during the first week of April. Students and staff members painted canvas panels that created a large mural when completed and joined together. Halima Cassells (at left), the artist who designed the mural images, began the process and was later joined by students Jeremy Kisala (above, left photo) and Eze Okeagu (at left in right photo). The mural will be hung in the 5710 building and unveiled on Wednesday, April 22.
