    Director to discuss the telling of University’s stories


    Steve Kloehn, Director of the University News Office, will speak at the next town hall meeting sponsored by University Human Resources Management.

    Kloehn, whose team bears the primary responsibility for informing the public of the University’s mission and activities, will speak from 12:15 to 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 30 in Room 109 of the Biological Sciences Learning Center.

    As News Director, Kloehn oversees the work of telling the University’s stories through various media. Kloehn joined the News Office in 2008, bringing to the position more than two decades of journalistic experience, including a dozen years at the Chicago Tribune. 
    Kloehn’s discussion topic will be “Telling Stories in the Throes of a Media Cataclysm.” Kloehn will share with staff and faculty his experiences at the University and how he and his team work to shape the University’s image. 

    The Town Hall Meeting series provides an opportunity for faculty and staff to learn about the University’s various missions and goals.
